A LETTER FROM AL BARZAKH (BELGIUM)
BY WALEED AL MADANI
Have you ever imagined your first thoughts if your conscious woke up right after you die? I did, I thought of loneliness and my mother. Muslims believe in a period of time where the dead live, a period of time between the moment they die, and their judgment day. I will take you with me through my first moments in Al Barzakh, the moments I start to realize my lonely, realize that I’m not going to see my mother again, my ocean of thoughts, my fire, my home, my final wash, going through visual memories and feelings, and the moment I realize where I am, freed from loneliness. Running time: 00:15:12.
TUNABLE MIMOID (AUSTRALIA)
BY VLADIMIR TODOROVIC
“In this experiment, we used a mimoid sample from Solaris ocean and measured it’s reaction to several types of non-ionizing and ionizing radiation. We probed the living system with customizable metamaterials and time-varying electromagnetic fields in a noninvasive live-cell imaging solution. Our findings show that the mimoid not only behaves as a tunable living system, but it also exhibits self-organizing behaviour while mimicking patterns of controlled electromagnetic fields. Our results illustrate mimoid’s extraterrestrial and unique ability to neutralize man-made radiation effects.” Running time: 00:06:40.
